Running two days per week, this new program is a great fit for families looking for a school with fewer students and a close-knit rural school setting. Children can benefit from more hands-on support, meaningful connections, and opportunities to build confidence, independence, and social skills.
For families who are homeschooling, considering school for the first time, or looking for a small and caring classroom, Gem School offers a unique option for Kindergarten.
Enrollment for Gem School’s Kindergarten program is now open! https://www.grasslands.ab.ca/page/registration

Gem School is introducing a new Kindergarten program for the 2026–2027 school year.
Families with a child who will be 5 years old by December 31, 2026 are invited to attend an information morning: Monday, February 9 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
This session is an opportunity to learn more about the program and what to expect in Kindergarten at Gem School.

At Grasslands, we care deeply about every child’s learning journey. Over time, the odd absences can add up, especially in the early years, and we want families to have the information they need to support success.

These drills are designed to prepare us to stay safe in a
real emergency. Emergency drills can be a bit unsettling, but they're a crucial way for everyone to know exactly what to do and where to go if a real emergency ever happens.
